“Think new – live digi­tal”: the mot­to of this year’s Ger­man Logistics Con­gress which took place in Ber­lin from 25 until 27 Octo­ber encou­ra­ged com­pa­nies to esta­blish digi­tiza­ti­on in their dai­ly rou­ti­ne. Indus­tri­al Data Space is an important con­di­ti­on for achie­ving this objec­tive, pro­vi­ding sover­eign data space for secu­re data exchan­ge bey­ond both com­pa­ny and coun­try bounda­ries. In this con­text, the Indus­tri­al Data Space Asso­cia­ti­on pre­sen­ted Indus­tri­al Data Space as the basis for new and future-ori­en­ted busi­ness models in the Inno­va­ti­on Lounge at the Inter­Con­ti­nen­tal Hotel Ber­lin, whe­re they also made new busi­ness con­tacts and gai­ned even more mem­bers for the user asso­cia­ti­on.

The focus of their joint appearan­ce at the fair, toge­ther with Effi­zi­enz­clus­ter Manage­ment GmbH and the Digi­tal in NRW – SME 4.0 Enab­ling Cent­re, was clear­ly on the Digital.Hub Logistics Dort­mund: this plat­form for com­pa­nies and foun­ders encou­ra­ges the growth of inno­va­ti­ve, digi­tal logistics and pro­duc­tion ser­vices as future-ori­en­ted busi­ness ide­as. The visi­tors to the Inno­va­ti­on Lounge could learn about and expe­ri­ence how the­se are deve­lo­ped, tested and suc­cess­ful­ly imple­men­ted in Digital.Hub Logistics.

Besi­de its three pil­lars of suc­cess, COMMUNITY, PROCESS and PLACE, that offer inno­va­ti­on teams modern co-working spaces, pro­fes­sio­nal work­shops and coa­ching, as well as high­ly pro­fes­sio­nal exper­ti­se in the fiel­ds of logistics and IT, the Digital.Hub Logistics decla­red the win­ner of the 1st Digi­tal Logistics Awards and invi­ted visi­tors to join in their Speed Dating ses­si­on about the future of Logistics. The pro­fes­sio­nal dele­ga­tes and experts also had the oppor­tu­ni­ty to dis­cuss and vote on the “ques­ti­on of the day”, e.g. “Inno­va­tions: what has the poten­ti­al to real­ly pre­vail?“. The­re were lots of par­ti­ci­pants every day and for every ques­ti­on, and lots of fun was also had crea­ting a vivid and effec­tive pic­tu­re of atti­tu­des using colou­red balls.
